My day in full details is the blog post for day 13 of the 30 day blog challenge. It has indeed been challenging but i am pushing forward! Its Monday! For those who Mondays are easy for, you guys are my enemies lol. Well, i hope the weekend was a refreshing one for you all though. The 30 day blog challenge is still on. Day 12 was yesterday and i talked about My Views On Drugs and Alcohol.

Today i will be talking about my day in full details. Right from waking up, to getting to the office and then to having dinner. Details will end just before i hit my bed tonight.

So here's how

How My Day Went

5am to 7:30

My alarm goes off every morning by 5am except on Saturdays when i like to sleep in (unless i have to be at work or some other equally important thing). Now i don't resume till 8am but i have to wake up by that time to get my breakfast and lunch ready.

Today, my alarm went off by 5am as usual but i didn't get up till around 6am. For one, i don't like Mondays. No matter how refreshed i am through the weekend, i still want more of Saturday and Sunday. No i am not lazy. I'm still trying to figure out why i don't like Mondays. It is work related for sure.

Another reason i got my lazy butt (and i say again i am not lazy lol) outta bed an hour after the alarm went off, was because i had prepped my meals for the week so i could afford that one more hour of sleep.

I took my bath, after packing my bag, dressed up. Got to work promptly by 8am and then the Monday Blues sets in right after i got to work.

8:15am to 9am

There is something about this time that gets me harried and frazzled if i get late to work (i rarely do though. Get to work late i mean). That is because it is the time i usually attend daily Operations meetings with the team.

I have to be ready, prepare my notes and all that. It is a planning meeting so essentially different service lines plan and discuss their activities for the day so all overlapping functions (processes) are aware and work in synergy. That's basically the purpose of the Operations meeting. Work synergy.

Well, today was no different. I attended the meeting. Contributed my bit. Learnt a thing or two and then went back to my office to have my breakfast of toast wheat bread and hard boiled egg and to gulp some Chai black tea (sorry i didn't take pics).

9:00am to 12:00pm

I had my breakfast and got right into the "grunt". I sorted out my department's end of month report for the month of May. For a report that usually takes roughly an hour or so, i ended up spending over 3 hours preparing it because a needed input from another process was not readily available....

I was getting a bit worked up by the 2nd hour because i just hate dawdling. I like setting goals and achieving them and since i had planned getting the report done and sent that today, i just wanted to finish it and then send so i could concentrate on some other thing like the upgrade of the company's Quality Management System to the latest international ISO 9001 standard.

Well, i did manage to calm down. An emotional intelligence course i talked about on my bucket list did come in handy here while waiting.

Alas, input from the other process came in just in time for me to complete and send out by 12pm. I was able to cross off "end of month report" from my "To Do List" for the week. One down. Yeah!

12:00pm to 3:00pm

I stole some time to look at my blog and to respond to a comment from a long time follower of my blog about my views on drugs and alcohol. Well, i couldn't resist starting this very post i am writing now.

Then i had to focus on indexing some reports, forms and checklists in my department. Although, this shouldn't have taken much time, i was however multi tasking, left my office to hold two different meetings and then back to my desk to complete the indexing.

And then i remembered i was yet to have lunch! I promptly put it in the microwave, ate and then walked around a bit because i couldn't get up when prompted by my phone for my usual 20/30mins walk by 11:00am because i was hell bent on finishing my end of month report.

My Day between 3:00pm and 5:00pm

I used these two hours to respond to emails that needed to response and also to send some emails that needed to be sent. Meanwhile i kept on gulping my black tea which was cold and "drab" by now. Who cares? I certainly didn't care. My day at work is always characterized by tea drinking. There is always a cup on my desk and they come in different shapes and sizes.

By 4:30pm, i was looking to get home on time because i needed to pick up some groceries at a supermarket along my route back home so i could eat dinner on time. I try as much as possible to avoid eating at night because my metabolism has been slow for some time now. So i have eating healthy and exercising.

Then, voila it's fivefreakingpm and yours truly closed for the day. With that feeling that i have achieved a lot today.

6:00pm to 8:00pm

Arrived back at my apartment by six in the evening. Had my bath. It was HOT today! Had dinner. Dinner was vegetable sauce with chicken. Again my apologies for not taking pics!

I guess i didn't plan this post well enough...

8:00pm Till Right Now

I am penning this post about my day in full details. It took two hours and some minutes in writing this. Of course in between calls from home and work.

I did say, my day will culminate right about when i go to bed.

Well, my eyes are drooping and my cosy bed calls....

I hope every single one of you had a good day and achieved something today. If you didn't, there is no need to feel downcast! Tomorrow is a brand new day to achieve your goals and win. Keep your head high up. You all are kingingqueens and you know i gat nothing but love for you.
